Fake nails? breaking/peeling them off?

i break/peel the nails of after about 3 days but the back of the box says not to..why not?Fake nails? breaking/peeling them off?
Because it tears off layers of your nails, causing them to be more brittle and weak. I don't suggest doing that anymore lol.Fake nails? breaking/peeling them off?
because it messes up your nails and they get thin and it takes about a month to get back to normal
because it can damage ur cutticals

My 3yr Peeling Nails?

My 3yr Daughter has soft peeling nails, but they are peeling from the base leaving the soft tissue underneath exposed. My original thought was lack of calcium, but she Drinks milk %26amp; eats yogurt's daily. The only other thing I can think of is that she had Hand, Foot %26amp; Mouth a couple of weeks ago %26amp; her nails are peeling as well as the skin on her hands %26amp; feet off the blisters ! Has anyone come across this before? My 3yr Peeling Nails?
My son (2 yrs old) also had hand, foot, and mouth a few weeks ago and his toenails did the SAME thing! The doctor said it was normal and to just put some anti-bacterial ointment on them with bandaids so he didnt pick at it.If your really worried about it just make an appointment and get it checked out....anytime a parents worried-it never hurts to get it checked out! Good luck!My 3yr Peeling Nails?

Have a good manicure whether you do it yourself or have it done=Pre natal vitamins work well-Remember things on the outside are a reflection of what is happening inside, make sure you are eating properly and hydrating properly, Always keep something on your nails even if only clear nail polish.Try to refrain from opening tab top cans and other things that can harm your nails. I had this problem for years and now I see a manicurist every 2 weeks. They are much betterMy nails keep peeling. i have tried so many different products and nothing works. any suggestions?

Sally Hansen - Triple Strong
Start taking a gelatin supplement. Your nails will get stronger. Since nails grow slowly, this will take time, so be patient.

Preschooler peeling nails.....?

My 4 yr old is a nervous nail biter. She now has 3 fingernails that have started to separate and peel from the nail bed. My kids had hand foot and mouth about 6 wks ago and since then she picks her dead skin -- from the blisters. Now she is picking off the top part of her nail that has separated. Her thumb nail is now all lumpy and bumpy like when someone loses a nail. I am hoping she is not going to end up with a bunch of lumpy bumpy nails.

Has anyone seen anything like this before??? We will see the pediatrician tomorrow, just wondered.Preschooler peeling nails.....?
I am a bit of nail biter and when I was young my mom would put a special nail polish that tasted bad that was designed to discourage nail biting. It was clear. You might try that? Also, what about providing something else to bite on. I can't think of anything off hand...
  • apply eyeshadow

    Peeling Nails?

I have always bitten my nails until about 3 years ago. (I'm 24). They are long and very strong. Until about 2 weeks ago. They are peeling like an onion. Not splitting down the nail, but rather flaking right at the longest point. This is frustrating b/c the used to be beautiful and now I have to cut them back so they stop. Any suggestions on what it could be? I would like this problem to stop ASAP. I do type a lot at work. Maybe this has something to do with it. Educated answers only please.Peeling Nails?
Splitting, peeling, or brittle nails. These are common problems that develop when your hands are frequently exposed to water, strong soaps, and other chemicals. You may be able to prevent some of these problems if you use lotion and avoid repeatedly putting your hands in water.

I have this problem too. My nails do best when I keep a clear coat of polish on there to protect them. Sally Hansen makes a lot of good products for this problem. Good luck.Peeling Nails?
that happened to me bacuse i would paint my nails then take it off and do another color all the time. I stopped painting them and puting nail polish remover on my nails and the stopped peeling.
the same happens to me.i file the peeling areas then buff them to give them shine, apply a clear top coat of nail polish or nail growth polish.make sure to get your vitamins and minerals.
im not sure how educated i can make that answer, but that happened to a friend of mine when her fingernails were close to a half inch past the tip of her finger, she tried cutting them down to the tips of her fingers, and it seemed to stop. an idea i just got recently would be to take a top coat (clear) nailpolish and paint it onto your nails, that might help, but ive never tried it.
You could have a vitamin deficiency, but for a quick fix , go to the drug store and get Nail Magic works for me.
typing has some to do with it but try putting brush on nail glue on the tips this may help.
Cracking and peeling nails are a type of brittleness of the nail plate. Nail plate thinning, longitudinal ridging, and a layered fracturing of thin sheets off the nail plate define brittleness. It's commonly seen in the elderly, in people who repeatedly immerse their hands in water, and in women who use nail enamel or acrylics. Rarely, it shows up in nail fungal infections, anemia, arterial insufficiency, or metabolic disorders like hypothyroidism

The underlying cause appears to be a drying out of the nail plate through the use of solvents, such as nail enamel. Water exposure expands the nail volume, and drying causes it to contract. This repeated cycle weakens the matrix, leading to fractures.

Avoiding situations that remove moisture from the nail, and reapplying emollients to the nails would be suggested.

Keeping the nails short, clipping them immediately after bathing, and filing them in one direction will minimize areas of leverage that cause cracking.

    Peeling nails?

My son's nails are peeling off in layers. Is there anything I can do do make it stop?Peeling nails?
i think he has somea deficiency of some minerals and so you may wonna try to give him some supplements like calcium, copper, etcPeeling nails?
Gelatin capsules twice daily for two weeks
I agree with geletin capsules but not twice daily for two weeks since they can also cause tendons to enlarge which makes movement harder.

I would do one capsule every third day since he is growing and make sure that he is getting enough vitamins as well.
Try going to the doctors or you could use some type of women nail strengthener to try and keep them stronge and they might not peel then.
Does he take a good multivitamin? How old is he? There are 2 Nutrilite products that may help him. One is for people over 12 and the other is a great multivitamin for children that is chewable. Let me know if you are interested in researching these great products and I will set you up as a costumer. Hope this helps!
