Does any one know a product that really works to keep finger nails from splitting, peeling and braking?

Mine are very thin and brittle.I've had acrilic nails but they are very practical.Does any one know a product that really works to keep finger nails from splitting, peeling and braking?
I think rubbing in vitamin e oil helps or almond oil - try it!

clove oil always did the trick for me... I think it's easy to find in good health food stores and not very expensive. Also when I began to take vitamin c everyday my nails got much stronger.
