I used to chew my nails constantly when I was younger. I have not done that in three years, my nails currently can grow out a bit, but they're practically see through and ALLWAYS chip in the corners before they get long enough to even be painted correctly. I keep them clean, I take vitamin E pills every other day. I paint them with Sally Hansen ';Hard as Nails';. What else can I do?Nails are peeling and chipping, very thin and flimsy, what can I do?
That can happen after using acrylic nails, smoking or eating alot of unhealthy foods. (not saying you did any of that, but they are causes) Use the 'hair, skin, nails pills', eat lots of calcium containing foods and don't put any acrylics on your nails ever. I also find moisturizing and pushing the cuticles back makes a huge difference.Nails are peeling and chipping, very thin and flimsy, what can I do?
Keep your nails healthy. If you eat correctly and get Vitamins such as C, D, and E, your nails will stay strong. Go to the nail salon and get your nails fixed up once and awhile to keep them in shape. Wash them well and don't pick underneath your nail. Picking underneath the nail gets rid of colour. Keep using the hard nail clear coat stuff and your nails will become better and better. Good luck!
Your nails might be getting to long maybe go to the hair dressers and cot them with a different color and not you's the same one everyday it might be to old to you's if chipping is happening yer i think go to the hair dressers they would fix chippnig and yer just keep cleaning and go to your local hair dressers cya!
1) Wear gloves when you do the dishes or do any cleaning or expose your hands to any chemicals.
2) Check the internet for any medical or dietary reasons why you might have brittle nails
3) Stop painting them for a little while to see if that helps, or go longer between fresh applications (nail polish remover can damage your nails)
Girl i use something called hard as hoof it's a cream that come in a jar about $4.98 and along with hard as nail by sally hansen....works like a charm. my nails used to be brittle and the layer would peel too, but now i have strong nails
paint with super strength nail growth as a base/top coat:)
any brand is fine, but i prefer sally hansen:)
bioton pills also work.
they help your hair, skin, %26amp; nails be healthy:)
doing dishes a lot can cause nails to break, so if you do dishes that could be a cause. Also just take a multi vitamin too
Vitamin E is a good start... Do you moisturize though? You're issue could be overly dry skin.
go get yourself a manicure first..when they are going to polish ask them for nail hardener...ask them about why your nails chip and stuff and they will tell you...manicure is like 20..and keep taking ur vitamins
go to the nail salon and get a treatment or get fake nails put on until yours harden
use nail hardener
hair ,skin, and nails pills..... the bomb!!!!!
